Vintage Silver & Enamel, octagon floral locket with Holly and Hibiscus

Adorned with a very pretty floral display of holly, berries and three hibiscus flowers, this is such a pretty octagon shaped pendant. The central floral scene is bordered by a light blue enamel and is marked on the back for sterling silver, England, and the makers mark; L. M. 
 
Measuring 1.5cm in diameter, excluding the bale, and weighing 1.9g, this pendant/lucky charm remains in lovely vintage condition.  I would date it to the 1920s.

In jewellery speak, the hibiscus flower represents love, beauty and femininity.  Holly is known to represent hope, protection, and eternal life, as well as being the plant for December born people.

Hanging from a chain around your neck, this sweet charm would compliment any occasion.
