Vintage, 9ct Gold Padlock with Diamonds

Crafted from 9ct Gold, this vintage, good sized padlock clasp is in full working order.   It is not hallmarked, but i would date it to the 19350s.

It features two false screws and unusually, a central bezel set diamond.  Just above this, are two diamond clusters set in a floral arrangement.  The reverse is plain. 

This padlock measures 1.5cm x 2cm and it weighs 2.06g. It is not marked (which means it was made pre-1963 when hallmarking became mandatory, but it has been tested for 9ct Gold.

This padlock pendant's versatility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or thread a fine chain through its side or centre, and wear it as a pendant on a necklace. The padlock closes firmly so could also be used as a secure clasp for a charm or curb link bracelet.
