Vintage 9ct Gold, Lovers Knot Dangle Earrings

This is a really striking pair of original lovers knot hanging earrings.  Made from a buttery 9ct gold, these wonderful earrings have beautifully crafted knots, made from textured layers which hang beatifully from a bale, adding a little length and giving the twisty knots some movement.

These sensational hanging earrings are not hallmarked, but have been tested for 9ct Gold.  Based on their design and the intracate detailing, I would date them to the early art deco era. 

The earrings hang well from the ears and they measure approximately 3.1cm long and 1.4cm wide.  They weigh a healthy 4.19g collectively.

The lover's knot has long been  a symbol of love and remembrance. It represents the unbreakable bond and eternal connection between two lovers.
