    This is a very pretty vintage 9ct gold and platinum illusion set 3 stone diamond ring in good condition.

    This ring is referred to as 'illusion set' as the diamonds are set within a larger than average width setting, therefore creating an illusion of a larger diamond.  The elegant crossover setting focuses attention onto the diamonds and is a classic design which never goes out of style.

    The inside band of this trilogy ring is marked 'PLAT'. There is no date mark, but it is thought to have been made in or around the 1940s.

    It is currently a UK size M 1/2 (USA size 6 1/2) and it weighs 2.2g.
