Vintage, 18ct Gold, Ruby French Love Pendant, 'My heart beats for you'

This very romantic pendant is a wonderful example of antique /vintage sweetheart jewellery.  

This romantic and difficult to find pendant features an engine-turned textured background with black enamel lettering with the french words:  'Il bat pour toi', which translates to 'My heart beats for you'.  Below this, a bezel set heart shaped ruby sits between two cherubs.    

The pendant measures approximately 1.8cm by 1.7cm  and it weighs 1.85g of 18ct gold.   The bale displays clear french hallmarks for 18ct Gold, the eagle's head and the makers mark: Perroud is present.  
 
Stamped with the eagle's head for French manufacture and 18 karat gold, with maker's mark for Perroud.  Charles Perroud was a French jeweller from Lyon, who produced hugely popular work between 1913 and the late 1940s.
