Vintage, 18ct Gold Multigem Acrostic, 'ADORE' ring, Hallmarked 18ct Gold, Birmingham, 1911

This is a spectacularly beautiful acrostic ring with bright and lively gems spelling out a secret message. Featuring an amethyst, diamond, ruby, opal and emerald, all in their own square settings, the first letter of each of these gemstones spell out the word ‘ADORE’.

The 18ct Gold band has beautifully ornate shoulders, which look a little like shells, and create a really unique feel to this special piece.

The band is currently a UK size T (US size 9) but it could be re-sized. It weighs 4.18g. The band is hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Bimringham and the year 1911.

'Acrostic' rings have always been extremely popular and in Victorian times, were used to express a secret romantic message to their loved one spelt out in gemstones. This one let the wearer know that they were 'adored'.
