Victorian, Antique, Solid Silver Padlock clasp, Hallmarked, Silver, Birmingham, 1885

Set in a polished silver, this wonderful Victorian padlock clasp is in full working order and is clearly hallmarked for Sterling Silver, Birmingham and the year 1885, making it 139 years old! It also bears its makers mark; A. B.

It features a beautifully engraved face with a locket at its centre, currently clean and empty, ready for you to add your own momento or photo.. The reverse is plain aside from its hallmarks.

This padlock is in splendid condition for its age, with only light surface marks and is a good weight of 4.23g. It measures 3.3cm x 1.4cm

This padlock pendant's versitility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or thread a fine chain through its side or centre, and wear it as a pendant. The padlock closes firmly so could also be used as a secure clasp for a charm or curb link bracelet.
