Victorian 9ct Gold (F&B) Horse Shoe/Clover Pentagon Locket / Pendant

This beautiful and rather unusual Victorian locket is crafted from 9ct Gold.  As with all antique lockets, it is likely to be 'front and back' To be more specific; the front and back are curated in 9ct gold but there is a metal frame on the inside to strenghten it.   The back is hallmarked for 9ct Gold and Birmingham, but sadly the date mark has rubbed. 

The locket features a very pretty and detailed horse shoe at its centre, and below it, an ivy leaf (cling to thee) a clover (luck) a star (guidance) and some other leaves in both rose and yellow gold.    

This special antique locket is completely empty inside, without frames or covers. It measures 1.9cm long x 2cm and it weighs 3.13g. It remains in extremely good condition for its age, and it closes securely.
