Victorian 9ct Gold (F&B) Double sided Horse Shoe Rectangle Locket / Pendant

This beautiful and rather unusual Victorian locket is crafted from 9ct gold, 'F&B' To be more specific; this locket's make up is known as ‘back and front’. This means that the front and back are curated in 9ct gold but there is a metal frame on the inside to strenghten it.

The locket features a large horse shoe at its centre, and is adorned with ornate and detailed engravings all around it. The intricate detail continues around the back. On the front, ivy leaves representing everlasting love, affection, and remembrance surround the horse shoe, and on the back, forget me not flowers surround the central horse shoe.

This special antique locket still has its original frames inside for holding photos or a keepsake of a loved one.  (The picture in side at the moment came with the locket, but can be removed easily) It measures 1.5cm long x 2cm and it weighs 3.35g. It remains in extremely good condition for its age, and it closes securely.
