Stunning, Art Nouveau, 15ct Gold, Double Layer Amethyst and Pearl Fringe Necklace

This wonderful Art Nouveau, Amethyst and Pearl Necklace features 10 bright amethysts  arranged in to two very pretty layers in their own bezel settings.  26 natural seed pearls sti above and below the amethysts completing the floral design beautifully.

The necklace measures 15 inches long and is not marked but has been tested for 15ct Gold. I would date it to the late 1800s, during the Art Nouveau era.   It weighs 7.42g and is offered in tremendous condition.

NB: In the late 19th century, archaeologists discovered ancient fringe necklaces, sparking a massive Victorian and Edwardian revival. Jewelers of this era crafted them from delicate seed pearls, and precious gemstones.
