Incredible, Vintage, Art Deco 18ct Gold Opal and Diamond Ring

This is an incredible and rather unusual Art Deco statement ring dating to the late 1930s.  It features an extremely fiery hand opal cabachon sandwiched by 2 beautiful old cut diamonds which catch the light beautifully.  The platinum gallery is supported by an 18ct Gold band which is hallmarked.

The central opal measures approximately 6mm in diameter and the band is currently (but re-sizable) a UK size L, which is a US size 5 3/4.

This is a real showstopper of a ring; the stunning central opal flashes an array of colours, most noticably, blue, purple and bright orange as the light hits its core.  It would make a superb engagement ring, or a very romantic gift to a loved one.
