Incredible Art Deco, Extendable Snake Bangle with Ruby Paste, Hallmarked for Rolled Gold.

This fabulous extendable snake bangle was such a vintage find!  It features a coiled snake, (7 inches stationary but completely extendable) with a wonderful ruby paste stone on its head. Its face and tail touch each other as they pass, and both include gorgeous snake skin detail, which adds some lovely texture.  The bangle's extendability makes it extremely versitile, and can be worn on the wrist, middle arm, or the top of the arm.  The fact it is made of rolled gold ensures a great price on a peice of jewellery that is usually extremely expensive 

I would say this bangle is in excellent vintage condition.  There are no dents or dings anywhere else, and the paste stone is  of good colour, well set and secure.  The rolled gold looks wonderful (marked for rolled gold under the snakes head) and is a buttery yellow and it weighs 18.12g.

A note about Rolled Gold:   The bonding process for rolled gold, which has the same appearance as high carat gold, means it is far more durable than gold plated (which rubs off), and as demonstrated by this watch key, has already lasted well over 150 years!
