This incredible antique Sterling Silver Book Chain is hallmarked for Birmingham and the Victorian year, 1888. It measures 17.5 inches long and 1.8cm wide and weighs a very healthy 55.80g with its locket.
The chain itself is comprised of the very sought after double star pierced links. The chain is connected to its locket by two large bolt rings and an additional star link section.
The locket is hallmarked on its reverse and features the same star links on its border, as well as a large horse shoe (meant to bring luck and fortune to the wearer) at its centre.
