Antique, Victorian 9ct Gold, Seed Pearl Shaker Locket

This stunning Antique Bow Locket, which is hallmarked for 9ct Gold,  dates back to around the late 1880s, the Victorian era.

Its bright, and lustrious seed pearls  encrust the exterior of the locket and is suspended from a pretty seed pearl set bow which sits a top the locket.   (In Victorian times, bows on jewellery often represented a loving bond, such as marriage). Even the bale is adorned with stunning seed pearls, leaving no inch of this pendant/locket untouched by delicate detail.

This locket opens via the rear  - the back door can simply be removed,  to allow you to put your own picture, lock of hair or loose gems inside. This circular locket measures 2.4 x 3.5cm (not including the pearl encrusted bale) and it weighs 5.54g.

This is a stunning and classical antique piece, the likes of which are becomign harder and harder to find.  It would make a great addition to any collection.
