Antique, Victorian, 15ct Gold and Turquoise Cross Pendant

This Victorian crucifix/Cross pendant is simply divine and makes quite the statement.

Measuring 2.7cm wide and 4.5cm long, it boasts 6 stunning bright blue turquoise stones which are each bordered by 8 ornately decorated 'suns'.  These are arranged around the turquoise stone like petals, creating a very pretty floral effect. The decoration continues right up and over the bale, giving this piece extra height and a superb, unique feel. 

This pendant is not marked, but it has been tested for 15ct Gold.  I would date it to the mid-Victorian period.  It weighs a healthy 3.69g and it remains in extremely good condition - a charming religious relic from over 130 years ago.
