Art nouveau Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Locket/Pendant

This is such a pretty Sterling Silver Locket. Dating to the Art Nouveau era, an possibly deriving from France, it features the most beautiful guilloche enamelling; a bouquet of pink roses with a pretty blue bow (symbolising marriage) on top.

The locket contains one original frame and if a perspex cover was added, can be used to hold pictures. It can also be worn as a beautiful pendant. 

This circular locket has a diameter of 3cm and a weight of 9.11g. 

Under loupe inspection, there is no damage to the enamel and the condition is perfect. The reverse side is silver and there is a dent to the back which can be pushed back out from the inside.  This cannot be noticed when the locket is worn,

The locket shuts with a clear 'click' and sits perfectly on a thin chain. It has been cleaned and is ready to wear.
