Antique, French Art Nouveau 18ct gold Dragon and Pearl necklace clasp/clip slider

I was so excited to find this gorgeous Art Nouveau dragon slider/clip on my last treasure hunting trip… Deriving from France, and crafted from solid 18ct gold, this beautifully engraved dragon carries a pearl in its mouth an is a truly versatile finding. It functions as a clip to attach on to a chain or necklace, but can also be clipped onto clothes or worn as a pendant.

It measures approxmately 2.7 x 2.1cm and weighs 1.53g of solid 18ct Gold. There are no hallmaks on the piece, but it has been tested for 18ct Gold.

It has been said that those who wear a dragon might be protected from bad energy, and be blessed with good luck and courage.
