3rd payment Antique, French, 18ct Gold, Madonna and Angels Pendant with Blue Enamel (5.35g)

This is a truly stunning antique religious medal/pendant which derives from France. Crafted from solid 18ct Gold, it features a detailed 3D scene of the Madonna, an angel either side of her, and wonderful ornate engraving in the background. It is not hallmarked, but has been machine tested for 18ct Gold.

Blue enamel decoration and further detailed engraving borders the scene beautifully. The back of this medal features a Monogram of the letters, 'N C de S'.

This is such a pretty piece, and an elevated version of the usual pendant/medals one usuall sees.

It measures 2.7cm x 2.7cm and weighs 5.35g. It remains in beautiful condition, with just some rubbing of the enamel - hard to notice without a loupe.
