Antique, Edwardian, 18ct Gold Diamond Shield/Signet Ring, Hallmarked, Chester, 1912, 7.08g

This is a really wonderful and quite unique shield/signet ring.  Crafted in 18ct Gold, it is fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Chester, and the year 1912, right at the end of the Edwardian era..  The shield features a sparkling diamond of approximately 0.22ct at its centre which is set in a very pretty starbust design.   It has a solid band of 4mm and it's substantial face measures 1.2cm x 1cm.   This ring is currently a UK O which is a US size 8.  It weighs 7.08g.

This ring remains excellent antique condition, which is quite exceptional given this is 113 years old!  It is safe for every day wear and makes a superb statement ring.
