Antique, 9ct Gold, Spinning Orb/Ball Locket

This 9ct yellow gold rare ball/orb locket spins from  a substantial gold frame and bale so that it can be hung from a gold chain.  The ball opens on a hinge to reveal an empty locket into which a momento can be kept. 

Both the ball and its frame are covered by beautiful engravings, giving some texture and depth to the piece.

This incredible locket measures approximately 1.7cm in diameter, while the whole pendant/locket measures 3cm x 2.5cm.   It weighs 5.43g and has been tested for 9ct gold.
