Antique, 9ct Gold Heart, Forget-me-not Padlock Pendant

Set in a warm and rosy 9ct gold (not marked, but tested) this lovely, and romantic padlock clasp is in full working order and snaps shut nicely. It is beautifully and ornately engraved on the front, featuring a central forget-me-not flower.

Antique and vintage jewellery was heavy in symbolism and forget-me-nots on jewellery were usually given as love tokens, to remind the wearer of their true love, or as a sign of remembrance for a lost one.

This beautiful padlock's versitility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or thread a gold chain through its centre, to wear it as a pendant (see pictures for example)

This is a good sized padlock, measuring 9mm wide x 1.2cm long (including its clasp). It remains in splendid condition, and is a good weight of 3.31g
