Antique, 18ct Gold Harlequin Lozenge Pendant

This stunning antique multi-gemstone Harlqeuin pendant is crafted from 18ct Gold and features Emerald, Sapphire, Spinel, Cat's Eye Chrysoberyl, Turquoise and Opal gems.

This bright, colourful and good sized (2.8cm x 2.2cm) lozenge shaped pendant started life as a brooch, but has been sympathetically converted to a splendid pendant, which looks wonderful on a chain around the neck. 

It weighs 3.31g, and while it is not hallmarked, it has been tested for 18ct Gold.

Harlequin jewellery was named after the colourful costumes of comedy actors in the 16th century. The style was very popular in the Victorian era, which saw rings, brooches, pendants and necklaces created out of a colourful array of gems.
