Antique, 18ct Gold, Etruscan Revival Turquoise Locket backed Pendant

This is a stunningly beautiful, and quite special pendant. Crafted in a buttery, 18ct Gold, it features symmetrical turquoise decoration in the form of a central cross, surrounded by bright interconnecting gold lacing between every turquoise stone. Fabulous and detailed gold work around the pendant in the form of interconnecting chain links border the pendant giving this peice a truly regal look.

This marvellous piece has the added extra of a superb locket at its rear, where gems or a momento could be displayed.

Measuring 2.5cm x 1.8cmm and weighing 7.53g, this is a truly unique peice of jewellery. It is not hallmarked, but has been machine tested for 18ct Gold, and given its design, it would date it to the Etruscan Revival era, during the late 1800s.

This locket remains in wonderful antique condition, with well matched and well set stones.  Under a loupe you can just see that a tiny gap in the gold work on the left hand side, but this cant be noticed when worn, and i only mention it for complete clarity.
