Rare, Antique, 15ct Gold Heart Padlock clasp with matching key, Hallmarked, 15ct Gold

Set in a bright 15ct Gold with a superb patina, this rare, beautiful padlock clasp is in full working order and is clearly hallmarked for 15ct Gold and its makers mark: TC.  It dates to the late Victorian period and represents the romantic phrase, 'key to my heart'

It features four false screws and key hole on the front to which the attached key fits perfectly.  The padlock can only be opened and closed with the key.  The reverse is plain.  

This padlock is in a splendid condition for its age, and measures 1.4cm x 2.1cm and 3mm wide.  It weighs 5.30g.

This padlock pendant's versatility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or thread a chain through its top, and wear it as a pendant on a necklace.
