RESERVED 2nd payment Antique, 15ct Gold Turquoise, Ruby eyed Snake Brooch

This magnificent Victorian brooch features a stunning coiled snake/serpent crafted in a glorious 15ct Gold.  The snake features 5 wonderful natural turquoise stones, from the tip of his head down to the bottom of his neck.   The snake's eyes comprise 2 deep red rubies, and his head and neck are covered in ornate engraving decoration that only the Victorians knew how to do so well.   A larger turquoise stone sways under the snake's body, just below a little white pearl, giving a nice pop of colour, and movement, to the bottom of this marvelous brooch.

This truly scrumptious piece of jewellery will have been made in the late 1800s, probably between 1880 and 1900.  He measures approximately 2.6cm accross and 3cm down, from the head to the bottom of the turquoise stone.  He weighs 3.76g.  

No hallmaks remain on this exquisite and rare piece but it has been tested for 15ct gold.
