Antique, 15ct Gold Pearl Crescent Moon on a 9ct gold chain

This is a beautiful antique 15ct Gold Pearl crescent moon pendant which comes with a 9ct gold, 16 inch chain. Featuring 20 lustrious seed pearls ascending in size from each end to the middle.

Crescent moons have a lot of symbolism attached to them and in Victorian times, were representative of the changing of the seasons in one's life. They were often worn after marriage or after a new addition to the family.

This piece of history remains in wonderful condition with only some age related wear. Under a loupe you can see that the final pearl at the top of the cresecent has been crushed and the claw is empty. While i have taken this into consideration when pricing this piece, it is unoticable except under a microscope.

This crescent measures 1.7cm from top to bottom and it weighs 0.75g.
