This is such a pretty and unique antique Victorian snake ring. It features a coiled serpent, crafted in a warm 9ct gold crowned with 3 stunning and very lively old cut diamonds. This ring remains in spectacular condition and retains its original stones and a wide strong 9ct gold band.
This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment; the two snakes represent eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship.
This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and is fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, Chester and the year 1918. It weighs a heavy 7.15g and measures1cm at its widest point, which provides lovely finger coverage. It is currently a UK size T 1/2 (US size 10).
Queen Victoria was an enthusiast of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, which symbolised his everlasting love.
