1960s Vintage, Silver and Wood 'Touch Wood' Owl Good Luck Charm

This original 1960s 'Touch Wood' Lucky Charm, steeped in symbolism, was a lucky find. Crafted in the form of a silver and wooden owl, and hallmarked ST SIL, this wonderful owl features a wooden belly on which one 'touches wood' to deter bad luck or misfortune.

Beautiful and detailed engraving covers the silver, giving lovely texture to the owl's wings, feet and the the little twig it sits on, and the whole thing remains in excellent condition.

This sweet owl measures 2cm long by 1.3cm wide. It weighs a healthy 5.46g.
