This is a wonderful vintage french medal/pendant. Crafted from 18ct Gold, it features a child/cherub with a peace dove. The medal features 3 stunning rose cut diamonds on the child/cherub's shoulder, possibly as part of her dress. The bale has an eagles head, the french hallmark for 18ct Gold. The back of this pendant is plain

The medal is signed with the makers name clearly on the front: CONTAUX, a renowned french medalist who created beautiful medals such as this one between 1930 and 1980.

It measures 1.6cm wide x 1.6cm long - 2cm including the bale, and it weighs 2.28g. It remains in beautiful condition.
