18ct Gold, Antique, Victorian Opal, and Demantoid Garnet Ring, Hallmarked Birmingham, 1913

I fell in love with this ring as soon as i spotted it! I adore the design and the wonderful combination of the opals with the demantoid garnets. The opals have some of the best colour play i've seen with flashes of neon orange, pink, yellow and red, and the garnets are a bright and vivid green.

This is a truly unique and fabulous antique ring which is fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1913, making it just a bit later than the Edwardian era. It also bears its makers mark, H. W. L. The band is currently a UK size R, which is a US size 8 1/2, but it could be re-sized. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to wear!

Only discovered in 1851, the demantoid garnet is the rarest and most valuable variety of garnet, making them very sought after.
