18ct Gold, Antique, Starburst Solitaire Ring, Hallmarked 18ct Gold, London, 1896

This is an absolutely fabulous antique gypsy starburst ring. It has a lovely solid tapered shank of buttery 18ct gold, and the gallery features a lovely, central sparkling claw set diamond, of approximately 0.30 points, framed in a starburst setting.

This exceptional antique ring, which was crafted in the Victorian Era, remains in excellent condition and is complete with a full set of hallmarks, for 18ct gold, London and the letter 'a' which represents the year, 1896. It is currently a UK size P 3/4 (US size 8) and it weighs a healthy 5.49g.  The widest point of the ring's face measures approximately 6mm and the thinnest side of the band, at the very back, measures 3mm.  There are some signs of previous soldering on the inside of the shank, but this cant be seen when the ring is worn.

This is a superb unisex ring, which carries with it over 100 years of history. It would make a stunning sweetheart/enagement ring, or a perfect addition to your antique jewellery collection.
