18ct Gold, Antique, Starburst Solitaire Gypsy Ring, Hallmarked 18ct Gold, Chester

This is an absolutely fabulous, antique gypsy starburst ring. It has a lovely solid tapered shank of buttery 18ct gold, and the gallery features a lovely, central sparkling old cut diamond, of approx 0.5 points, framed in a starburst setting. The addition of intricate engraving on each shoulder adds to its charm.

This exceptional antique ring remains in excellent condition and is complete with hallmarks, for 18ct gold, and I can just see the Chester hallmark. The date mark has been rubbed away, but its design and style would point it to the end of the Victorian Era.

It is currently a UK size N 1/2 (US size 7) and it weighs a healthy 2.28g.   

This is a superb antique ring, which very likely carries with it over a hundered years of history. It would make a stunning sweetheart/enagement ring, or a perfect addition to your antique jewellery collection.
