15ct Gold, Victorian, Almandine Garnet and 15ct Gold, Floral Etruscan Revival Earrings

This is a superb pair of 15ct Gold earrings, deriving from the Victorian Era.

Beautifully chased from top to bottom, each earring features a leaf (Leaves were commonly used in antique jewellery to depict ferility and growth) almanine garnet gems designed as petals, and beautifully scrolled gold work.   The base of the earrings features an additional hanging torpedo drop with bead detail and engine turned engraving.

These antique earrings measure 5cm x 1.4cm. All the gems are well matched and the total weight of the earrings is 5.89g.  They are in good vintage condition; some solder marks are present on the top of one of the bezels and the leaves were clearly made by hand as they are not identical.  This adds the kind of charm that only unique antique pieces can do.
