Vintage, Sterling Silver, Ruby Eyed Snake Bangle, 18.33g

This fabulous ruby eyed snake bangle was such an exciting find! Crafted in Sterling Silver, it features a coiled snake with wonderful ruby red eyes. Its face and tail include some lovey snake skin texture. The bangle opens up (the tail and head can be pulled away from each other) and so it has good flexibility to get on over the hand.

This very pretty bangle is not hallmarked, but it has been tested for sterling silver. It weighs a comfortable 18.33g and it would fit a 7-9 inch wrist. It is 4mm wide and I would date it to the 1970s. As mentioned, it does have flexibility to fit a bigger wrist -and it can also sit well higher up the arm.
