Vintage, Art Deco, 14ct Gold Diamond and Sapphire Snake Ring

This is a really pretty and unique antique snake ring. A coiled serpent crafted in 14ct Gold is crowned with a stunning deep blue sapphire, rose cut diamond eyes, and old mine cut diamonds set into its neck.

This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment; serpents represented eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship.

Queen Victoria was a very keen exponent of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her engagement ring which was a snake with an embedded emerald stone.

This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and is hallmarked for 14ct Gold. It weighs 6g and is a UK size R (US size 8.5) but could be re-sized.
