Vintage, 9ct Gold, Ruby Eyed Extendable Snake Bangle, Hallmarked 9ct Gold, Birmingham, 1963, 31g

This fabulous ruby eyed snake bangle was such a vintage find! It features a coiled snake, (7 inches stationary but completely extendable) with wonderful ruby red eyes. Its face and tail touch each other as they pass, and both include gorgeous snake skin detail, which adds some lovely texture. On the very top of the serpent's head is a beautifully engraved heart around a leaf, which demonstrates the sentiment in which this type of bangle will have been worn. The bangle is completely extendable so it is extremely versitile, and can be worn on any size wrist, middle arm, or the top of the arm.  

Weighing a heavy 31.33g this is a substantial piece of jewellery. It is fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and the year 1963! It is also marked for its makers, C&F.

I would say this bangle is in excellent vintage condition. A dent on the underside of the snake's chin is its only imperfection, but this cannot be noticed when worn and is only mentioned for full disclosure. There are no dents or dings anywhere else.
