Vintage 9ct Gold Mariner Anchor Link Bracelet, 7.5 inches. Hallmarked 9ct Gold, 16.84g

This remarkable vintage 9ct gold mariner link bracelet is the perfect every day bracelet which works well from day to night. It is marked for 9ct gold and features a lovely solid gold padlock clasp, also marked for 9ct Gold and its markers mark; J C & S. 

Buttery and smooth, its links are all completely secure and free of dents. The chain measures 7.5 inches long and 8mm wide.  It has a healthy weight of 16.84g and comes with its original safety chain.

Solid gold mariner or anchor link chains/bracelets have been a fashion staple for years, and at this perfect length, they are highly sought after. Their versatility means they can be worn alone, or as part of a bracelet stack.

It was Naval Lieutenant Samuel Brown and his cousin Samuel Lenox who invented the anchor chain at the turn of the 19th century and once its design was perfected, it became the chain used by the Royal Navy and that of many huge ocean liners.
