Vintage 9ct Gold Heart Padlock Clasp (Hallmarked 9ct Gold)

Set in hallmarked 9ct yellow gold, this lovely, small padlock clasp is in full working order and is hallmarked for 9ct Gold, and its makers mark, A S J.  The date letter is no longer distinguisable.  

This padlock features a false screw and key hole on the front and aside from its hallmarks,  is plain on its reverse.  The clasp opens and snaps shut nicely.  

This beautiful padlock's versitility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or  thread a fine chain through its centre, to wear it as a pendant. The padlock closes firmly so could also be used as a secure clasp for a charm or curb link bracelet.  It even has a central mini loop within which a safety chain can be hung.

This is a small padlock, measuring 1cm wide x 1.5cm long (including the clasp)  It remains in splendid condition, with only light surface scratches (as would be expected in a padlock of this age) and is a good weight of 1.14g
