Vintage, 9ct Gold, Dearest, Acrostic Multi Gemstone Ring, Hallmarked, 9ct Gold, London, 1952

This is an extremely pretty acrostic ring.  Crafted from a strong, 9ct Gold, it features 7 gemstones,  comprising a diamond, 2  emeralds, an amethyst, ruby, sapphire and a tourmaline.   The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'DEAREST'.

This very romantic vintage ring would have been a sentimental gift given to to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver reagreded them as their 'dearest'.   It is marked for 9ct Gold, London and the year, 1952.
 
This vintage acrostic ring is in fabulous condition, with just some age related wear to the gemstones (eg: light gem rub marks) which can only be noticed when looking at the ring under a loupe.    It is currently a UK ring size O 1/4, which is a US size 7 1/2. It is re-sizable by your local jeweller, and it weighs 2.09g
