Vintage, 9ct Gold, Aquamarine Solitaire Ring, Hallmarked 9ct Gold, Birmingham and 1999

This is such a pretty vintage ring.  Set on an 9ct yellow gold band, this exceptional ring features a stunning pale blue, aquamarine.  The stone is beautifully clear with only some very light surface marks seen under a loupe.  This beautifully coloured gemstone measures 7mm x 1cm and weighs 3.35g.  It is marked for 9ct Gold, Birmingham and 1999.

This is a real statement ring; working perfectly as part of a stack, or worn alone.  

Aquamarines are much loved and highly sought after.  They are renowned in history for their beautiful colour and were worn as tokens of good luck and fearlessness. They are also the birthstone for March.

The name, 'Aquamarine' is derived from the Latin, 'Water of the sea', which is explained by its wispy sky-blue to deep ocean teal colour palette.  They were also once thought to be the treasure of mermaids.

The ring is currently a UK size N 1/2 (US size 7) but could be re-sized by your local jeweller.  It is in lovely condition, has been lightly cleaned and is ready to wear.
