Antique, 15ct Gold Multi Gem Acrostic, 'ADORE' ring, Hallmarked 1892

This is a spectacularly beautiful acrostic ring with big, bright gems spelling out a secret message. Featuring an amethyst, diamond, opal, ruby and an emerald, the first letter of each of these gemstones spell out the word ‘ADORE’.

Set on a 15ct gold band, these bright gems are lively and in excellent condition. The band is currently a UK size 0 1/2  (US size 7 1/2) but it could be re-sized. It weighs 3.77g and is hallmarked for 15ct Gold, Birmingham, 1892

'Acrostic' rings have always been extremely popular and in Victorian times, were used to express a secret romantic message to their loved one spelt out in gemstones. This one let the wearer know that they were 'adored'.
