Vintage, 18ct Gold, Grey/Blue Star Sapphire Solitaire ring

Crafted from 18ct Gold, this is a simply mesmorising, Vintage Star Sapphire Cabochon ring. It features a truly stunning star sapphire which, when light is shone on to it, exhibits its characteristic 6 star effect (known as, asterism) inside the centre of the stone. (You can see this on the video) This ring actually appears to have a double star under the right light, which is really something!

The central grey/blue star sapphire sits comfortably in a secure bezel, which leads down to a plain, strong shank. Currently a UK size L 1/2, which is a US size 6, the band could be resized up or down by about 3 sizes. The sapphire measures approximately 1cm x 0.7cm, and weighs a healthy 3.73g

Star sapphires have historicaly been used as talismans, and were thought to have mystical powers, bringing luck to the wearer, warding off the devil and protecting the wearer from illnesses and bad omens.

This beautiful ring would make a wonderful engagement ring, or a romantic gift for that someone special.
