Exuding Victorian charm, this fabulous padlock clasp/pendant features a beautiful dark blue, 8 pointed star with a bright red claw-set garnet at its heart.  Surrounded by rich and buttery 9ct yellow gold (which actually emulates a much higher carat)  this is all-around incredible piece of antique jewellery!

The padlock pendant's versatility means you can either slip it onto a split ring or charm bracelet, or thread a fine chain through centre, and wear it as a pendant on a necklace. The padlock closes firmly so could also be used as a secure clasp for a charm or curb link bracelet.
 
The clasp closes with a click and is secure.  It measures 2.8cm x 1.8cm and weighs 2.52g. 

The padlock is in good vintage condition, but as with so many antique items it does show some signs of wear, notably at the very top there is a little slit in the gold. This can only be noticed under close inspection and can’t be seen when the padlock is worn. I have taken this into consideration when pricing this piece.
