Larlge, Art Deco, 15ct Gold, Dearest Acrostic Multi Gem Ring

This is an incredible, and rather unusual acrostic, 'DEAREST' ring from, I suspect, the Art Deco era. Its multi-gem petals feature 7 gems, the first letters of of which spell out the word, DEAREST; These gems comprise a central diamond, 2 emeralds, an amethyst, a ruby, a sapphire and a topaz.  

The gems sit around the central diamond like petals and beautiful gold work on each shoulder frame the ring over the finger beautifully.  Around each gem sits a further cluster of 4 diamonds which ensures maximum sparkle.  The head of this fabulous measures 1.4.cm diameter, giving excellent finger coverage.

Currently a UK size M, which is a US size 6 1/2,  the ring could be re-sized within reason. The band is not hallmarked but has been tested for 15ct Gold.

This antique acrostic ring would have been given to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them as their 'dearest'.
