Victorian 15ct Rose Gold, White Enamel Locket / Pendant with Rose Cut Diamond Horse Shoe

This beautiful Victorian locket features a rose cut diamond encrusted horseshoe to its front, on a white enamel surround. Ornate engravings cover the rest of the locket - a detailed border and what look like little snowflakes on the top and bottom of the locket.

There are no hallmarks but the locket has been machine tested for 15ct gold. It has more of a rosy hue than bright yellow - giving it a soft, warm look.

The reverse of the piece has a hinged locket, which is a good size, and fairly deep.

This wonderful historical piece measures 2.6cm x 2.1cm and it weighs 8.61g. It remains in extremely good condition and looks wonderful hanging from a chain around the neck.
