Unique, 18ct Gold, Victorian, Rose Cut Diamond, Hallmarked 18ct Gold, Chester and 1898

This is an incredible and quite unity antique buckle ring, fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Chester and the Victorian year, 1898.

It features a sparkling old cut diamonds in a starburst setting at its centre. On the 'buckle' of the belt are 6 further rose cut diamonds, arranged in a moon shape, with four additional rose cut diamonds completing this celestrial belt design.

Buckle rings were prevalent in the Victorian era, when sentimental jewellery was extremely popular. Buckles on jewellery were given as love tokens. They symbolised the binding love between the giver and the wearer of the ring. They were also regarded as symbols of loyalty and memory.

This is a stunning and classical piece which would compliment any jewellery collection.
