Stunning, Antique, 15ct Gold Old Mine Cut Diamond Snake Ring

This is such a pretty Victorian snake ring.  It features a  coiled serpent, crafted in 15ct gold crowned with 3 graduating old mine cut diamonds.  The snake's eyes feature two further old cut diamonds, taking the total number to 5. 

This sweetheart ring carries a romantic sentiment;  the snake represents eternal, everlasting love, loyalty and friendship. 

This ring sits flat and comfortably on the finger and is hallmarked for 15ct Gold. It weighs a heavy 3.06gg and measures 1cm at its widest point, and 5mm at the thinnest point at the back of the band.  It provides lovely finger coverage and is currently a UK size P (US size 7 3/4).

Queen Victoria was an enthusiast of snake jewellery and had several pieces in her personal collection, notably her snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, which symbolised his everlasting love.
