Incredible, Rare, Victorian, 15ct Gold Victorian Long Guard Chain, 58 inches, 48.47g

This beautiful antique long guard chain dates to the late 19th Century. Crafted from solid 15ct gold, it features the most incredible 3D trombone/cage links with a dog clip at one end. The gold is buttery and bright with a really wonderful patina. 

Solid gold long guards have been a fashion staple for over a century, and with these rare links, in this long length, they are getting rarer, and are highly sought after. Their versatility means they can be worn alone or in a stack with longer or shorter chains.

This chain measures 58 inches long, 2.5mm wide, and weighs a solid 48.47g. It can be twice or thrice around the neck and the dog clip is free to hold your favourite charms or pendants.  

This is a dream investment piece, and one that will ensure many more lifetimes.  It is marked for 15ct Gold and i would date it to the late 1800s.
