French, Art Nouveau, 18ct gold Griffin and Diamond Pendant

I was really excited to find this very unique and rare piece recently. Crafted from 18ct Gold, it is a stick pin conversion which has been made into a very sweet pendant.

Small but mighty, this beautiful piece features a beautifully engraved griffin, millegrain-set diamond in mouth, with stunning engravings over its wings, body and tail.

It measures 1.5cm long, and 1.5cm wide, and weighs 1.11g of solid 18ct Gold. There are no hallmaks on this griffin, but it was lively derived from France in the Art Nouveau era, and has been tested for 18ct Gold.

The closed bale is tiny, so I have included an additional 9ct gold bale which will come with the pendant. There is also a picture of this pendant worn with a solid 9ct gold split ring (see last picture) but the split ring is sold separately.
