Art Deco (1930s) Platinum Aquamarine and Diamond Ring

This wonderful, and ultra-stylish Art Deco Ring derives from the 1940s.

Crafted in 18ct Gold and Platinum (marked for such on its band), it features a rectangle Aquamarine with 8 sparkling diamonds in square bezels, four on each shoulders arranged in a very cool step design.

The gallery is beautifully and geometrically symmetrical and ever so slightly raised to give the gems a lift to catch the light. The ring sits comfortably, and the very good sized gems provide excellent finger coverage. The head of the ring measures 1.5cm x 6mm.

This ring is currently a UK size M (US size 6 1/4) but it could be re-sized within reason by your local jeweller. It weighs 2.29g.

Aquamarines measure 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale, so are pretty durable gems, if treated with care. This one, with its timeless art deco style would be a wonderful choice for an engagement ring.
