Rare, 9ct Solid Gold Victorian Pierced Link Long Guard, 38 inches and 16g

This rare and difficult to come by pierced link chain measures 38 inches long and is crafted in solid 9ct Gold.  

The links of this chain sit smoothly next to each other like a box chain, and have the very sought after pierced links (pierced on all 4 sides) which were very popular in the Georgian and Victorian eras. 8 beautiful star pierced link stations are dotted intermittently along the chain giving plenty of texture.

This pretty chain looks lovely around the neck worn in one strand, or wrapped into two layers.  It also has the benefit of a dog clip from which a charm or pendant can be hung.
